— When we started working with Onedio, potential was the key criterion for setting goals. It's a powerhouse on social media. It's already the most-used mobile site in Turkey. EBay SEO Agency could turn that potential into a real advantage. Just combine the technical skills with the content skills.

— Onedio is Turkey's biggest content site. The story started with citizen journalism. Over time, it spread across social media. They made content people actually wanted to share. The kind where you think. "This is so me." That spread fast on social and pulled in huge traffic. Per Genius data, Onedio is the most-used site on mobile. Monthly visits are past 25 million unique visitors. Most of those visits happen on mobile. That's because we spread so fast on social media. The importance of SEO for Onedio got clearer as we grew. People started linking Onedio to a few memorable keywords. Onedio quizzes. Onedio lists. Onedio galleries. We could ride that into on-brand traffic. And pull real traffic from there.

I saw that as an opportunity. We started looking for an SEO agency because of my workload. I couldn't give SEO the time it deserved. So we started the agency search.

— The Onedio team was running their SEO agency search across both offices. Ankara and Istanbul at the same time. We'd already done a partnership project with the Istanbul folks. So they definitely wanted to reach out to us during that search. Same goes for the Ankara office. We'd met Çağrı earlier at SEO Zone and Digital Zone events. Later we went to their office and walked them through what we could do. They gave us the green light, and the work kicked off.

— I'd known about ZEO for a long time. I first heard about Enick Cushing's list at a conference you guys ran. I remember thinking, "Whoa. That's awesome." So they were a candidate I felt good about right away. That played a part in us getting started. After we started the consulting process with ZEO. Our SEO traffic went from 15 million to about 25 million. That's monthly traffic. And we hit that growth in roughly 9 months. We actually kicked off our SEO work with ZEO on the technical side. Technical SEO.

ZEO crawled the entire site here. The ZEO team shared the crawl results with us. We started fixing the issues that turned up. Once those were cleaned up, we slowly started seeing our SEO traffic climb.

— At Onedio, we wanted to use crawl budget effectively. So we noindexed thin content pages. Those pages had no organic value. They also caused a lot of technical errors. Crawling worthless areas like profile pages ate up bandwidth and crawl time. Now we could shift all of that to pages with real organic value. In fact, just two weeks after this one change. We saw a 17% jump in the Searchmetrics SEO visibility index.

— After that, the HTTPS migration started. HTTPS migration is a big deal. So the ZEO team built us a roadmap. Because of that, we had zero problems. No technical issues. No sudden traffic drops.

— Bad examples from around the world made us cautious. We were moving a web site with 15 million-plus monthly organic visits to HTTPS. But secure web communication matters. It matters for users and site owners alike. So we planned Onedio's move to the secure protocol carefully. We built a detailed roadmap from global examples and Google's own references. We mapped out every technical change needed. We split it into two stages: before the redirects and after.

— Our content strategy work with ZEO started with training. We already had these huge archive-style pieces. Big evergreen listicles, all built and just sitting there. Once we started digging into them, we saw traffic climb right away.

— We set up two separate content trainings. The main goal was hitting the critical points. Making both evergreen and timely content SEO-friendly. We walked the Onedio team through it. How to bake SEO into their content. In a way that pleases users and search engines alike. We ran another training over Hangouts. We used current examples. We built the material for each category specifically. It made for a really productive session. Right after the content trainings, we moved on. We followed the strategy we mapped out with the Onedio team. We worked through the target category groups. Then we produced SEO-friendly content. And improved what was already there.

— AMP turned out to be a great opportunity for Onedio. Most of our traffic comes from mobile. So we wanted to integrate AMP fast. Our content structure meant some technical headaches, though. That was clear from the start. When AMP first launched, it was built for news content. So we started by making our news content AMP-compatible. We brought in ZEO for support right after integration. We were running into errors. We were seeing these in Google Search Console. We got support from ZEO on the fastest way to fix them. We solved those problems quickly. After that, we started getting traffic from AMP. Onedio's global expansion actually started in August 2015. That's when we launched our Russian site.

Right now, one of our goals is launching the Arabic site in 2017. We launched the English site in 2016. Growing our unique visitor count is a key metric. That's where SEO comes into play again. We ran changes on Onedio.com and got great results. Now we need to roll those out to our other sites. That means the Russian, Arabic, and English sites too.

— We think we built a solid line of communication with the Onedio team. They handled every change we asked for on time. We also made a great pair on the content side. That's how we hit the results we talked about so quickly.
