Majestic developed Citation Flow as a metric based on the number of backlinks to a website. Like Trust Flow, it produces a score from 1 to 100, but it focuses on backlink quantity. A high Citation Flow score does not necessarily mean Trust Flow is also high, because a site may have many poor-quality backlinks. The two metrics should therefore be considered together. Backlinks from quality, authoritative websites can raise both scores.
