Analytics Audit & Measurement Roadmap
One assessment of the whole measurement stack, ranked by what each gap costs a decision.
GA4 can be configured correctly while GTM, server-side tracking, and ad platforms still disagree about what counts as a conversion. We assess the full stack and identify what to fix first.
A prioritized roadmap that treats the measurement stack as one connected system.

Assess each platform first, then compare the system
We assess how the platforms work together as well as how each one performs alone. Four steps turn the assessment into a roadmap with a practical sequence.
How we hold ourselves to it
- Map the complete measurement stack — We inventory every analytics, tag-management, advertising, CDP, and warehouse platform in scope, along with the connections the system depends on.
- Rate the maturity of each platform — For each platform, we rate how much its data can actually be trusted today, a review that goes well beyond confirming the configuration exists.
- Find where platforms stop agreeing — Cross-platform gaps often begin with different definitions, such as a conversion configured one way in GA4 and another way in an ad account. We look specifically for those mismatches.
- Sequence fixes by risk and effort — We weigh the cost of leaving each issue unresolved against the effort required to fix it, then place the highest-value work first.
Document the stack and its owners
We document every analytics, tagging, advertising, and data-warehouse platform, including its purpose and owner.
Stack inventory

- Crawls tags and pixels to seed the inventory.
- Human gate
- Owner confirms who's actually responsible for each tool.

Assess each platform on its own
We review each platform's configuration, data quality, and ownership against the business decisions it needs to support.
Maturity assessment
- AI assist
- Flags stale or misconfigured settings automatically.
- Human gate
- Analyst judges whether the setup meets the business's actual needs.

Trace cross-platform gaps
We trace how data and definitions move between platforms, including where the handoff fails or the definitions diverge.
Cross-platform findings
- AI assist
- Diffs conversion definitions across platform exports.
- Human gate
- Analyst decides which mismatches are worth flagging.

Build the remediation roadmap
We turn the findings into a sequenced roadmap with owners and rough effort, then walk the team through the priorities.
Measurement roadmap
- AI assist
- Drafts the sequencing from risk and effort scores.
- Human gate
- Team lead signs off on the final order.

The most costly gaps often sit between platforms
Automation crawls the tags, flags stale settings, and diffs conversion definitions between platform exports. People do the parts that need context: who really owns a tool, whether a setup meets the business's actual needs, which mismatch is worth flagging, and what order the team can realistically work in.

A practical account of what the stack can support today
The deliverables connect platform-level findings to one system-wide plan.
Working document
Stack inventory
A record of every platform in the measurement setup, including its purpose and owner.
Accepted when
Every platform in the inventory has a named owner who has confirmed it.
Cadence: Built during discovery
Assessment report
Maturity assessment
A reasoned rating of how much each platform can be trusted for its intended use today.
Accepted when
Each rating cites the specific check behind it, not a general impression.
Cadence: Once per audit
Prioritized roadmap
Sequenced roadmap
A prioritized list of fixes ranked by risk and effort, with a rough sequence your team can begin executing.
Accepted when
The first three items can start without waiting on anything else in the list.
Cadence: Revisited each quarter
We call it done when: the delivery owner has agreed the sequence is executable at your team's real pace, and each cross-platform finding carries a comparison someone else can reproduce.
Fit and readiness
When marketing, product, and finance trust different numbers
This work fits cross-platform problems that need a shared diagnosis before investment begins.
A good fit when
- Measurement problems span GA4, GTM, ad platforms, or a CDP, and no one has assessed the full system.
- You are planning a larger measurement investment, but no assessment shows which gaps across the stack should receive budget first.
- Marketing, product, and finance trust different numbers, and you need a clear account of why they diverge.
Better handled as other work when
- The problem is limited to GA4 configuration or events. GA4 Audit & Remediation Planning is the narrower, faster option.
- You already know what is broken and only need a tracking taxonomy. Measurement Strategy & Tracking Plan covers that work.

We call it done when: every platform in the stack has a named owner and an agreed purpose, so the assessment has a boundary instead of a wish list.
People who build your measurement system

Before we start
Questions teams ask before booking
Sometimes GA4 really is the core issue, and in that case GA4 Audit & Remediation Planning is faster and cheaper on its own. This broader audit exists for the messier version of the problem, where marketing, product, and finance are already citing different numbers and nobody has established which platform is actually wrong. Answering that takes a cross-platform diagnosis, so we start by mapping the whole stack instead of a single property. If your problem turns out to be narrower than that once we look, we say so and point you at the smaller task.
