İstikbal SEO Success Story

Winning Market Share in a Zero-Sum Furniture Market

İstikbal is one of the most established and largest manufacturer brands in Türkiye's furniture sector. A wide product range and an extensive store network give it strong market share across many categories, from living room sets to bedroom furniture.

İstikbal already has strong brand awareness in both online and offline channels. In the digital space, though, it competes inside a search ecosystem where the pressure is particularly intense at the category level.

Challenges

The furniture sector has limited search volume, so growth largely comes from taking share from competitors. That means organic growth depends less on creating new demand and more on increasing visibility within existing demand.

At the same time, users' search behavior usually follows a multi-layered path across discovery, comparison, and decision-making. As a result, category pages could no longer function as simple product listings. They needed a structure that responded more clearly to search intent.

Content overlap at the category level and similar intents spread across multiple pages were also among the main reasons visibility signals weakened.

Our Goal

Our primary goal for İstikbal was to strengthen category-level visibility and turn the organic channel into a sustainable, competitive area for growth.

We set a target of more than 1 million monthly organic visits and top positions for high-intent, non-brand furniture queries.

As part of the strategy, we restructured category and product listing pages around users' actual purchasing behavior. We also differentiated pages with similar search intents so that each one served a more clearly defined purpose.

For content, we positioned the blog and supporting articles to contribute directly to category visibility. AI-assisted analyses helped us identify semantic gaps on category pages and build a more comprehensive content structure.

We also strengthened internal links to clarify the relationships between categories. Technical improvements increased crawl efficiency and index quality, while a scalable, controlled optimization process kept the work regularly updated.
