103% Increase in Organic Visibility and 500% Increase in SEO Visibility

Founded in 2006, Meteksan Defense operates under Bilkent Holding and brings together the defense-industry work of high-tech companies under one roof. It develops and manufactures domestic, national, and original high-tech products for the Turkish Armed Forces and other security forces. Already a prominent player in Turkey's defense industry, Meteksan is increasingly recognized on the global stage as well.

Challenges:

In this international SEO project, our aim was to increase Meteksan's visibility while competing with leading defense companies in markets outside Turkey.

Our initial review found that the website did not have enough content and that its existing content was not SEO-friendly. Technical issues included missing robots.txt and sitemap files, absent hreflang language tags, and a high number of pages that failed to load. Loading speed and Core Web Vitals metrics were also being negatively affected. Another early focus was the product-led category tree, as there was no search volume for the products in those categories.

Purpose:

Our main goal was to increase the website's visibility across multiple countries and languages. We began by addressing the existing problems, particularly the technical issues identified early in the project. We also improved the website's category hierarchy, creating a more logical structure that search engine bots would be more likely to crawl. We then took the necessary steps to optimize the website's content, with a particular focus on category, subcategory, and product pages.
