Kitap365.com SEO Case Study

720% Increase in the Number of Visitors, 347% Increase in SEO Visibility

A few months after its launch, Zeo Agency became the SEO partner of Kitap365.com, which was established in 2019 by Epsilon, one of Turkey's most popular publishers. Kitap365.com set out with the slogan Everyone Read Every Day and a mission to offer customers books from their preferred publishers at the most affordable prices possible. The website aims to improve its service to visitors as its brand awareness grows.

Challenges:

Resolving the crawlability and indexability issues in Kitap365's JavaScript-heavy architecture was a top priority. The category tree also presented serious problems. Because the site contained so many pages for filters, search results, and pagination, we investigated the setup and ensured search engine bots were directed properly. Working alongside Kitap365, we also took the necessary steps regarding URL length and the overuse of slugs.

By adding internal links within the category tree, we made the website's hierarchy easier for search engine bots to parse. Visitors were having poor experiences on many pages, particularly category, sub-category, and author pages. When the project began, the site also lacked a sitemap, creating major issues with both total page volume and search bot accessibility. We focused heavily on technical SEO, category tree structure, internal linking, and UX improvements on core pages. We also set out to create a fresh content strategy covering category, sub-category, author, and blog pages.

Purpose:

We minimized crawlability and indexability issues, prioritized user experience, and updated several areas across category, subcategory, product, and blog pages. Launching the blog made the site far more engaging for its target audience. To guide search engine bots and users more effectively, we refined the category tree and internal linking strategy, while quick-win technical SEO recommendations optimized the crawl budget. We took critical technical steps around robots.txt, sitemap configuration, user-specific sections, and structured data markup. Through a well-planned content strategy, we capitalized on special occasions, campaigns, and seasonal demand, increasing overall visibility and achieving significant ranking gains for non-brand keywords.

This project shows how technical SEO improvements can drive steady organic traffic for e-commerce websites.
