Vispera SEO Case Study

+39% New Users and +198% Increase in Impressions!

Vispera was founded in Istanbul in early 2014 by a core team of five people who had been working together since 2010. Today, the company has more than 190 people. It is headquartered in Istanbul, with regional bases in India, the UK, the Netherlands, Spain and the US serving international customers.

Vispera has built a vibrant, diverse partner ecosystem spanning business partners, technology vendors and global alliances. Recognizing that many retail application and measurement problems are visual, the company has become one of the world leaders in image recognition services for the retail industry. It continues to work toward its goal of becoming a world giant company.

Challenges:

When we started the project, service-based non-brand queries such as retail image, image recognition, and shelf monitoring were not reaching the desired impression and click levels. The site also had technical, contextual, and category-tree issues. We moved the site from subdomain use to a subfolder structure. As part of that transition, we completed infrastructural and technical work to support a multilingual structure.

Objective:

Our primary objectives were to improve the website's visibility and organic performance. The work covered technical improvements, optimization of existing content with user experience and search bot crawling in mind, category improvements, and new content designed to compete for valuable queries.

Improving rankings and visibility for non brand keywords was especially important. These included category management software solutions, retail execution, image recognition, retail image, and visual intelligence for retail. We developed existing solution pages and prepared new content around the focus keywords. With the Vispera team's support in putting the actions into practice, this work enabled the team to reach the target. On the blog, regular monthly content helped build visibility for relevant industry terms, followed by a significant increase after optimization.
